(More customer reviews)Received as a gift and used with a Zodi camp shower system rather than the solar shower bag included.Pluses are low cost and simplicity.Minuses are:

1) not self supporting.need to find something to hang it from at an appropriate height
2) low end construction.One of the loops holding the material sides went right out of the box due to a sewing flaw.

So overall...good if all you want to spend is $30 and basically want something for one or two seasons then throw away.If you want something self supporting look elsewhere.

Softie 3 Merlin, Olive Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased the Merlin 3 5 years ago and use it for the cool seasons, 40 degrees to 80 degrees. The synthetic material make it too warm for summer and the lightweight make it too light for winter. However, this is the most compact, reasonably priced lightweight mummy bag I have found. It dries well, packs quickly and is highly durable. The stuff sack it came well is also a water proof compression bag.

Several minor complaints: (1) the zipper will stick if you are not conscientious; (2) the bag is rated to 32 degrees Fahrenheit but is not comfortable without being supplemented below 40 degrees; and, (3) while not narrow, the bag is not designed for broad shouldered people.

These aside, I highly recommend the Merlin 3 for temperate hikes and frequent enjoyment as I have on countless long and short forays into the great wild.

(More customer reviews)These beds are exactally what we are looking for.I love the four legs, which make them stable on sloped ground.My husband and I are both over 6 foot tall.The width of these allow plenty of room to move around without hitting the frame.The pad is very comfortable, and looks to be very durable.I like the metal spring system, which will be durable for many years to come and the springs can be replaced with in need be unlike material based cots.If the material rips, your are in trouble.I used beds like these years ago, and then went to the inflatable matresses. The air beds make you hot and don't always hold the air. I'm so glad to be back in cots.These provide under the bed storage( we camp with a lot of gear, 3 children and two dogs) and all our gear and dogs fit well underneath. I do wish they were a little taller, maybe 3 or 4 inches. The are a little heavy, but for the comfort and design, it's a fair trade.I would recommend these to anyone who wants a superior night sleep while "roughing it".Just one more note, we will be using these when our hunting party comes in too!!!!!

(More customer reviews)I just received my new shelter and haven't set it up on ice yet.We had high wind warnings here with gust up to 45 MPH, so I set my new shelter up in an open lot.I was very pleased with how well it handled in the wind and with how well it handled the wind.It seems to be well constructed and roomy enought for someone of my size (6'4" @ 225lbs.) I can't wait to get it out on the ice.

(More customer reviews)This product is good for the money but be careful when using it in a windy area because the frame is very flimsy. It uses thin pipes and cringe type of connections which do not hold the pipes in place while you are putting it together. That's just an inconvenience though.

The tarp on the other hand is very well constructed.

Also keep in mind that this structure does not stand on its own, it relies on guy lines.
